HOW NOT TO BE A VICTIM OF SWINDLERS, SCOUNDRELS & OTHER DIRTY DOUBLE DEALERS!!!

There are plenty of stories of people losing their health, money and identity to scammers.  Totally and completely unethical, these egomaniacs play on the desperation, fears, hopes and dreams of innocent people.  They know people will pay most any price to relieve their frustration and pain and try to make life better for themselves and their love ones.

These shysters use clever schemes to defraud millions of people every year. They often combine sophisticated technology with age-old tricks, adding new twists to old schemes and pressure people to make important decisions on the spot. Their goal:   TO GET THEIR HANDS ON YOUR MONEY and/or your PERSONAL INFORMATION which will actually get them more money.

Sometimes It's tough to know who to believe.  There are so many people making ridiculous claims, it's insane.  Day after day, you get hit with hype after hype. Outrageous claims that are totally bogus. But here’s the thing, Fraud is one of the few crimes in which victims can decline to participate, IF they recognize the warning signs and that’s where the FTC and FBI can help you.

The purpose of the Federal Trade Commission, is to protect consumers by enforcing consumer protection laws that prevent fraud, deception and unfair business practices.  Whether combating telemarketing fraud, internet scams or price fixing schemes. The FTC conduct investigations, sue companies and people that violate the law.  They educate consumers and businesses about their rights and responsibilities.  They collect complaints about hundreds of issues from data security and deceptive advertising to identity theft.

Another big wheel in your corner is the FBI.  For decades the Federal Bureau of Investigation has been dealing with criminals faking IDs, from check forgers to fugitives on the run.  Now, the threat is more pervasive and the scams more sophisticated than ever.  A stolen identity is a powerful cloak of anonymity for criminals and terrorists and a danger to national security and private citizens alilke.  Though the FBI, along with other federal agencies and state and local law enforcement, have rooted out many perpetrators and have brought them to justice, the battle rages on.

Hi, I'm Newell Paige, a recent retiree from a Federal installation, where for 31 years I've worked in Security and Payrolls.  It was my job that put me in contact with government agencies who dealt with unscrupulous people who will do anything to make a dollar.  I've always detested fraudstes, I don't understand how these people can feel any respect for themselves when they've caused so much hardship for others.  My family recently endured such hardship when an 83 year old relative lost $3,000 in a sweepstakes scam.  My elderly relative's lost and the constant headlines of innocent people being swindled everyday is what prompted me to write Swindlers, Scoundrels and Other Dirty Double Dealers.

My mission is not only to warn people about these crooks, but to show you how they set up their operation and lure the innocent into their web. I also want to let you know, all is not hopeless, there is help available to you - just a phone call and email away.  Jammed packed with 353 pages of information, you'll be equipped with an incredible arsenal of weapons at your disposal.  Swindlers, Scoundrels and Other Dirty Double Dealers include, addresses and telephone numbers of government websites, where you'll find the help you need.

Not only will you learn how to recognize some of the most sophisticated scams in the country, but you'll know how to position yourself to be in control and not allow these scumbags to hoodwink you.  You'll no longer be at their mercy or feel intimidated by the high pressure tactics used by these thugs.  Below are just a few examples of what you'll find in Swindlers, Scoundrels and Other Dirty Double Dealers.
